Door Creek Watershed Kiosk Signage

Client:  Dane County Office of Lakes & Watersheds

Madison, WI | 2016

LVB collaborated with Dane County Office of Lakes & Watersheds to develop a watershed map of Door County for an outdoor kiosk installed at Fish Camp County Park. The goals of the watershed signage include highlighting the natural resources, recreation, and water quality of the Door Creek Watershed in Dane County, WI, and engaging viewers to learn and take action. The final poster includes QR codes and Calls to Action to encourage the public to explore the watershed, get involved in citizen science volunteering, and take action to install best management practices on their property.

LVB helped the client organize information into a visual narrative of the watershed’s ecological and agricultural history and educate the public about water quality impairments to the Yahara River Chain of Lakes. Lauren worked with Dane County staff to storyboard, research, write, and edit written content, images, and watershed maps. LVB produced the final graphics using GIS, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign and coordinated with the fabricator for print production.
