Client: Forest Preserve District of Kane County

LVB loved working with Forest Preserve District of Kane County staff and the Preservation Partners of the Fox Valley on the interpretive design for thirteen nature trail signs within the district’s premier forest preserve.
The design services scope included storyboarding, writing, photo editing and graphic design for ecological heritage and cultural heritage themed free-standing outdoor displays. LVB worked with District staff to create a custom-illustrated map of the 450-acre preserve and the design of the trailhead welcome kiosk.
LVB worked closely with environmental educators, communications staff and historians to interpret thematic content, source suitable imagery, and proof final signs. The project was complete from kickoff to installed signage in a record time of four months.
